Can my PC run World of Warcraft Classic?

By JT Hussey August 26, 2019

Re-experience World of Warcraft in its original form in this revamped version of the very first edition: World of Warcraft Classic. Gather together old allies as you take on the missions and stories that defined world of Warcraft for two decades. While World of Warcraft classic may harkon to an era of extremely old graphics, that does not mean its new content can be processed from GPUs two decades old. To best enjoy the revamped version of World of Warcraft, your computer should meet the minimum requirements of a NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT or AMD Radeon HD 4850 or Intel HD Graphics 4000 GPU for a more complete experience without computer crashes or framerate issues. Additionally, meeting the recommended requirements of a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon R9 280 will give you the intended experience of World of Warcraft at its very prime. While World of Warcraft's first edition is considered old, the features of 40 person raids with worlds hosting hundreds of players at once can still prove taxing for many computers to process. Therefore, in meeting the minimum requirements of a Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 or AMD Phenom X3 8750 CPU your computer can process the graphical content of WoW Classic and have a better time raiding with your friends. For those looking to forego framerate issues altogether, however, meeting the recommended requirements of a Intel Core i7-4770 or AMD FX-8310 CPU will give you the complete experience of WoW classic in all its glory. Indulge your nostalgia and return to the grindy multiplayer days of the past in World of Warcraft Classic.
