Can my computer run Star Wars: The Old Republic?
By Cliff Henjum July 22nd, 2020
Steam has added the popular Star Wars MMORPG, Star Wars: The Old Republic, to its ranks which has resulted in a massive surge in player count for this almost 10 year old game. Star Wars: The Old Republic takes place in roughly the same era as KOTOR and KOTOR 2. Players can choose to be a wide variety of classes ranging from Jedi and Sith to Bounty Hunters and Smugglers. EA has made numerous large updates to this game over the years, including making the base version of the game completely Free to Play. You can run Star Wars: The Old Republic on your computer if it can pass this very easy system requirements test.
The minimum system requirements test for Star Wars: The Old Republic has changed slightly in recent times, but it is still much easier to run than some rival MMORPGs such as World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth or The Elder Scrolls Online. Players should have at least an Intel HD Graphics 3000, a GeForce GT 610, or a Radeon HD 7450 for their GPU. The CPU requirement is even lower - your computer only needs an Intel Core 2 Duo E4400 or an AMD Athlon 64 x2 4000+. As long as your computer has hardware that’s at least as powerful as the previously mentioned, all you need is 3 GB of RAM. May the Force be with you...and also your PC.
