Can I run Halo 2: Anniversary on my computer?

By Cliff Henjum May 6, 2020

I need a weapon...and for it to be May 12th already so Halo 2: Anniversary will be available on PC as part of the Halo: Master Chief Collection. The sequel to the legendary FPS will be the third title in the collection to make its way to PC, following Halo: Reach and Halo: Combat Evolved. Prepare to blast grunts away and take on ferocious pairs of Hunters as you play through the iconic campaign or get ready for the multiplayer experience that changed online console gaming forever.

At the time of writing this, 343 Industries only list a set of minimum system requirements on their Steam page for Halo 2: Anniversary, and they are on the lower side when compared to other similar games. You’ll need a medium-range video card that supports DX 11 like a GeForce GTS 450 or a Radeon HD 6850. For your CPU, you should also have at least an Intel Core i3-550 or an AMD Phenom II X4 960T. These specs are a decent amount lower than another shooter that’s set to release soon - the new game from Amazon called Crucible.

So grab your weapon of choice, make sure your PC passes the system requirements, and prepare to save Earth from the invading Covenant forces. Make sure they Regret ever coming to this planet.
